Im in between either upgrading to a s6 or keeping my s3 and just getting a extended battery and would like to root it to get rid of some of the preinstalled junk apps on it. Im not real technical with these phones, is there a easy way to root these phones? Dont want to get halfway through something and not have a clue what to do. My phone model is sch-1535 and on version 4.4.2 if that helps.

Towelroot should work on that phone. Afterwards download SuperSu from the Playstore and launch it to update the binaries.

I didn't think Towelroot supported the VerIzon S3, maybe that has changed ?
    I think Framaroot does though.
Edit: Framaroot doesn't, only the international version.
DMX has a video showing how to root the VerIzon S3 model using the Casual one click root method.
It's from 2013 but it will work on 4.4.2.
