Yikes. So basically I'm gonna lose unlimited data when I upgrade and that will also be the last NE2 discount for me? Aren't they making plenty of money as is?

No, the only way to lose unlimited data is if your actual plan changes. Otherwise "legacy" accounts keep unlimited data regardless of the new phone, unless the new phone requires a completely different plan.
