E-Mail Notifications

Hey guys,

I triedto disable my GMail account from notifying me the traditional way (with the settings in the email app itself and Gmail app) but for some reason it continues to put a notification in the bar when I get an email as well as flash the LED. I tried changing the settings to never check for email on that account, but still I am getting something. It's just annoying when I unlock a badge on FourSquare or get a Voicemail with Google Voice that I am getting 3 notifications (1 Google Voice App, 1 SMS, and 1 Gmail lol).

Any idea how I can disable Gmail's notifications completely?

Should be in the gmail app. Are you sure it's a notification from gmail and not the stock Email app?
