E-Mail and Corporate Sync Disabled on my new Droid X

I just purchased a Droid X. I ran the typical setup and included the gmail account. I need to sync my phone to an APPTX corporate account.

When I go into Setttings/Data Manager/Data Delivery/Email and Corporate Sync the Email and Corporate Sync is disabled.

What do I need to do to enable access to Email and Corporate Sync?

Should I cancel gmail? My first guess is that gmail does not want to run parallel to other outside email acounts...

I've also read a lot of online complaints about Droid being difficult to sync...
