dumb question

So I let someone supposedly root my phone. I dont see any difference since he gave it back. How do i know if its actually rooted?

eIf you look at your installed apps, do you have superuser? Can you boot into a recovery? Visible differences are only after installing a custom rom and theme it.

No super user anywhere to be seen. So does that mean he never rooted it

did you take the ota update after he rooted?

its been hitting most phones. i would suggest do a little reading. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/rescue-squad-guides/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html and grab the latest frg22d from the forum. can you boot to recovery?
