Samsung promises a dual-core 2GHz smartphone 'by next year'

Samsung is preparing a 2GHz Dual Core phone set for release sometime next year. Reports from "a high-ranking" company official has disclosed Samsung's intention to deliver a dual-core smartphone that runs at 2GHz. That is 2GHz for each core. With a dual-core Cortex-A9 design capable of scaling such speed heights, which is most probably the basis on which Samsung is building its future processor on this phone could leave all others in the Dust.

Bump the ram to 2 gigs and you basically have a mid-tier PC.

Put in an Intel chip supposedly capable of dual-booting Windows and, well, there's you're laptop replacement. Or at least dual-boot Ubuntu and then something like the Atrix laptop dock would actually be useful.

REAL capability of your phone to function as a tablet and/or laptop with the addition of an "inexpensive" dock.
