Drop down menu features running applications?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if an app or fix exists that has currently running applications appear in the drop down menu, similar to what ATK does when it runs in the background (icon in top bar, quick shortcut to app in drop down menu). Does anyone know of a way to do this for all running applications?
