DroidX Support Page for Gingerbread Update Online; Should Be Coming Soon

It is very likely that we may see the release of Gingerbread for the Droid X within about a week, if not sooner. One of the folks over at our friends at MyDroidWorld, found a support page on Motorola's website detailing the new update to the Droid X, version 4.5.596, and it includes Gingerbread. Great find!

...since its not released, how could the OTA be rooted. GB leaks have been rooted, but that doesn't mean anything about an official OTA.

Just for the hell of it, has anyone tried to see if they could manually get the update through System Updates in Settings? Verizon posted some instructions on how to do this on verizonwireless.com/droidxsupport and figured what the heck. I can't since I am on Droid2, which hopefully won't be far behind.

The manual update is really just a go to your settings and check for updates! Which us is technically still over the air.
