droidx radio baseband and gingerbread

Im on dx and am rooted....4.4.596.....but didnt update my radio to. 12......im still on. 07....my dx is running good though. whats that mean....since i didnt update? why do ya neex to update? whats the purpose of having ur baseband at ....12??? ty for the help....and I am rooted!

I wouldn't worry about it unless you are going to be flashing custom ROMs.

cool thanks man. But what's the baseband use for! Question mark any idea? and is my phone gonna function right being on those .07 compared to the .12? I heard that being a higher baseband like .12, would make your phone do better on wi-fi in , can do better on the verizon network all the way around! so basically does anybody know what baseband controls?

Baseband updates give you better reception with 3g (and voice, i think).

If you update to the TBH version of GB, you'll have root and the latest baseband.
