Droid1 SS4.96 keep looping on SS screen on boot

Please help. I root a friends Droid1 phone, which I have done several times on other phone without a problem. When I loaded the Chevy's Simply Stunning 4.96 ROM using ROM Manager, it rebooted and got stuck on SS splash screen keeps looping. Am I missing something? Can some one help?
Can someone point me to the right fix? Thanks in advance.

Sorry guys, I fixed the problem. I boot to recovery and reset to Factory. When it boot it loaded to SS4.96 screen. All is well. Thanks anyways.
