I am considering a incredible or droid x. Battery life is important as is speed. Most important is price and ease of rooting/rom availability.
Which is the best and most like the droid 1 which I have currently?

Incredible is easier to root because it does not have a locked bootloader like the X. You can root the incredible with a mac or pc I believe.

if battery is important then go with the X. dinc battery kind'a sux. i have the dinc and my wife has the Dx. i love the roms of the dinc better, until the liberty came out for the Dx. i really like liberty and it's quite fast. sounds like the Dx is better for you unless the size is too big. for me it was too big to use everyday. the size is nice though when viewing web and video. but not as an everyday for me.

Unless you want the big screen, you can't go wrong with the dinc.

Personally I'd take the money I'd use Tk buy a Dx and buy a dinc and an extended battery

Thunderbolt was rumored to release on valentines day and will probably release on the 28th-ish. Nowhere near may.

i'm not waiting for the thunderbolt. I'll buy the droid x or incredible on ebay and decide what to do in may when my ne2 is up. Will probably go with 1 year contract when I do upgrade through verizon though.
