Sweet I upgraded from the Original Droid and got refurbished x on the cheap and its an old version!

Just look at the date code. The only difference in is the SD card. 2g/vs/16gb.

They could give every phone away for free and still make SOME profit. They are however a business and not in the business of decreasing their profits.

If you can get a 16 gig card for $34, do it. You still just saved $16 after these pricing and equipment changes.

This is true; my argument was just that Verizon didn't necessarily have to drop to a smaller SD card size in order to lower the price (which is what I thought you were arguing). The fact is that it's likely they could have dropped the price (form a purely monetary standpoint) without sacrificing the size of the included SD as they would end up making the money back anyway.
