Droid x not playing videos saved on my phone

Ok, so my Droid x recently started not playing videos that are saved on my phone they play videos online such as YouTube and stuff but won't play any of my videos i have saved on my phone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try installing a third-party app like DoubleTwist. If they stol won't play, hard reset.

How would I get the videos saved on my phone over to double twist to check? I tried moving them with astro wouldn't work tho

Download DoubleTwist (on your phone), pop into your gallery, click on the video, select open with DoubleTwist. Tell me what happens.

You can try the file on another android device, however, hard reset may be in your future.

What's a hard reset? How do you do one? And will i lose the stuff saved on my phone?

Factory reset. Its a wipe. It will erase everything not on the memory card. You can access it from the privacy section in settings.

I am having the same problems as the OP. I have videos I have taken with my Droid X andnow they will not playfrom my library. I also tried downloading rockplayer and it wont play with that either. These worked fine in the past but recently flashed the GB rom. Not sure if this could be the reason (I wiped multiple times before flash). I get "Error file cannot be displayed or played." Again these are videos taken with the phone.

OP if you wipe and it fixes please let me know. If anyone else has any ideas I would appreciate it, wiping is such a dra even with Titanium.
