Droid X locked after Factory restore

hey whats up im kind of new to the droid game...

well i was going to buy a droid x this weekend but a buddy of mine sold me his and he claimed it lost. So i factory restored the phone and now its locked it says i have to activate the phone and it calls verizon for i can activate the phone is there any body that can help me unlock the phone or what can i do to unlock it

This is a really bad idea. If your friend claimed his Droid was lost, Verizon will mark the esn and probably won't let you activate it.

I'd go get my money back, from this so called "friend."

+1 its a pretty big no no your friend is doing. It will never fly with Verizon.

Well if you wanted you could just bypass the activation and use it on wifi to play around with

once you claim your phone is lost. The ESN is locked and can not be used. You "friend" pwes you some money if you bought it from him.

I have a Droid X that has a bad esn and all I did was bypass the activation so I could just use it on wifi

how do i bypass if u dont mind me asking..... i cant conect it ill just use it to watch movies

While at the activation screen tap the top left corner, then the top right corner, then bottom right then bottom left corner and you should be in
