Droid X bootanimation

I've looked around before, but I wasn't able to find anything about a (I think) bootanimation problem. With every bootanimation I put on my X, except for the stock, it goes through the animation extremely fast and leaves a lot of just blank video before it boots up completely. Before I download different bootanimations, i watch the preview and it goes at a perfectly acceptable speed and isn't choppy or too fast or anything. But then when I put it on the phone, and reboot, it goes through it lightning fast. Not sure if anyone else has had the problem, or has any kind of a solution?

If I remember correctly you can have a boot animation have two parts. One is the initial run through and the second part is the one that loops. This is what causes the eye to only appear one time but the eye will keep moving even if your boot is taking longer than normal.
