I don't even use setCPU, you should try a chevyno1 1Ghz lv kernel.
Can only use his MV kernels. All others put me into a bootloop.
Don't know what to tell you then. I'm using BB v0.4 with a chevyno1 1Ghz lv kernel and it flies, even booting up (16-17 seconds from end of M logo to lock screen).
I tried switching kernels from p3droid's lv 1Ghz to ChevyNo1's ulv 1GHz and for some reason the boot animation is even more smooth, 'specially at the start.
As a side note: I don't use setcpu; I just rely on the built in scripts. :O)
Every time I watch my phone boot, I think I am getting ready to watch Sports Center on ESPN. It is the same Red Eye. Am I the first to notice, or am I just to lazy to search and see!
Yea it takes mine 37 seconds from the disappearance of the Moto black screen to the lock screen. The Moto screen seems like it stays up even longer too.
Every BB before using this boot animation flew.
Added 2 new colors; Blue and Orange. For those of you running themes such as Nextang and/or Blue Energy.
I'll update this thread again once I add new colors (Green and Yellow next).
If anyone has any requests, feel free to PM me and I'll see what I can do.
Updated again. Added Yellow, Green, Cyan, Purple and Pink.
These look great! Thanks for making so many colors available.
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
busybox cp -R /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /system/media/
chmod 644 /system/media/bootanimation.zip
mount -o ro,remount -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock4 /system
Did this exactly and it didnt work, still has the red stock eye on Kangerade 5.0.9. At least it all booted up afterwards.
Not sure about Kangerade, but you might want to check /data/local/ and see if there's a bootanimation.zip in that folder.
The /data/local/bootanimation.zip overides the system/media/bootanimation.zip if I'm not mistaken.
Yeah, I just checked the Kangerade files, there's a data/local/bootanimation.zip in there, so if you replaced the system/media/bootanimation.zip with my version already, go ahead and delete the data/local/bootanimation.zip and you'll default to my version.
