Droid X Battery Life

I get all day now out of my phone.unplugged from around 7-9am and still got like 40% by 10-11pm. And I use my phone a lot. I use on average 5-8gb in data a month.

I downloaded spareparts and nothing looked too crazy at all. Then again i might be looking in the wrong place. Also under batteryinfo > battery health. It tells me mine is Good health. I've only had this phone for 5 days, should it be "great" condition?

That's just awesome! What tips do you suggest ad do? I think i really have a bad battery.

I know... i thought i was a heavy user using 2gb.

Yea i went from 100% - 80% in 20 min moderately... its got to be my battery that's faulting

I don't even think I used a gig yet in my first month!

Well im at 50% after 2:40 hrs of moderate use. Lol

unplugged at about 6:30 am, it is now about 2:30. At 40-50%, bluetooth has been on all day, data sync running, wireless and gps turned off manually, and screen locked on while streaming pandora (so I can rate songs as I go) for about 3 hours over the course of the day. Facebook and yammer updating hourly, gmail and other email account updating every 30 min.

Anyone have any tips for expanding this, without switching to an extended battery? I have juice defender lite running to restrict data to 5 min every 15 unless my screen is on or something is actively transmitting (to let it finish up).

I was at 90% when I left my house today at 8am (Didn't get a full charge). BlueTooth and WIFI have been off all day. I have had GPS on a little here and there and have been using the brower a little bit here and there to check some things along with Gmail app, facebook app and twitter a few times (all manually synced.) Screen on Auto brightness and I'm now at 50% at 3:35pm.

7am took it off charge. Its 3:30pm now and im at 60%. Used it for some surfing. Watched a youtube vid and took some phone calls. Have'nt really taxed it yet since the phone is only 1 day old. Under battery use says its been unplugged for 8 hours 22 min and 48 sec.

Really I used 60% of my batter today in 11hours. That is will all the usage I stated previously, plus a good amount on the car drive home sitting at the 5min red lights!

Update on my situation... Good News???? Maybe..!

So I called VW Customer Service and after about 45 min on the phone, they told me that my phone was defective. They will be replacing my phone with a NEW phone. I made sure of that! I did not want a refurbished phone by any means!

What gave it away to them is that I dont get a green LED light when the charger is plugged in. They said its probably 99.9% the phones fault and NOT the battery that I have wrong. I had noticed Droid X users express that after the LED green light stays on, its fully charged! I never had that.

Bottom line, i am skeptical with having a new phone shipped to me only after 5 days of receiving my new phone that i currently own!!!

I will keep updating here till i resolve my battery issue!

Just fyi my led does not come on either, so not sure that is a deciding factor for ya. Either way you are getting a new one.

Thats whats annoying in a way. the guy did not say thats the deciding factor but after he did that little test, he said, "let me transfer you to the technical specialist.. blah blah.."

yes im getting a new phone but am i really??? I better get it with the original manufactures box and NOT in bulk packaging!!
