I'm sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, I searched but couldn't find anything on it.

Anyway, I installed Bugless Beast 1.1 with sholes kernel 1.2 on my Droid yesterday and for some reason I can't mount my Droid to my windows 7 PCs.

It mounts fine to my Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard OSX but it won't mount to my Windows 7 partition on my macbook pro or my desktop that also runs windows 7.

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. Or if someone has a solution?

    Thanks!

Mine connects fine on Win 7.
Are you using the same data cable each time?
Do you get a message in the notification bar saying "USB connected" ?
If so, have you selected it and then receive a message to confirm mounting your SD card?
Did it work before you installed BB 1.1? I'm using BB 1.1 and AdamZ's 1.1Ghz kernel without issues.

I do use the same data cable every time. I do not get the "USB Connected" notification. It doesn't even charge. It's as if it isn't even plugged in.

I just barely got this Droid 2 days ago so I hadn't plugged it in to a Windows 7 PC until now, so I have no clue if it mounted before I installed BB.

I did get it to mount on a Windows XP computer at school yesterday though.

I guess I'll try to run AdamZ's kernel and see what turns up.

I'm sure others have the Sholes 1.2 kernel and have USB working. You might want to ask in one of the Sholes (Droidmod) threads before changing your kernel.

Edit: It might be worth checking Device Manager on your PC to make sure there are no issues with your USB controller. But I agree, it sounds like the phone.

All other USB devices work fine on my PC's. I believe it's just my phone. Otherwise it should have worked in 1of my 2 windows 7 machines.

OK I got it to mount now, but I installed th3steve600 kernel.

how do I install the AdamZ kernel? Do I just download GlassBoot.zip attachment and rename it to to install.zip and install it in SPRecovery? I don't want to mess anything up

Thanks again for your help guys!

I'm running DM 1.0 and have the same problem. I can only mount the droid on the computer if I have usb debugging activated. Any ideas?

No. There are instructions in the link above where you download the ROM.
