disclaimer: Sorry if the title is confusing or if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't really sure where to put it. I also don't actually *have* a droid yet.

I'm looking at getting a Droid (Droid 2 specifically) and one of the things that interests me is it has the wifi hotspot feature. I was thinking.. is it possible to have an app on the droid that acts as a small server, that devices connected to its wifi would access? If it requires ~some~ coding I could probably handle it, but I really have no idea where to even start looking for answers on this. Not even a fancy server, something as simple as an app sending something back to a client that requests it.

If that even makes ANY sense at all.

yeah, your right! That did NOT make sense.

What function does this "server" provide?

    web? ftp? vnc? ssh? dhcp?

Maybe your confusing "server" with something else?
