Are they going to make another version of the Moto Droid like they did with the Blackberry Storm? Or are the updates just going to continuously happen and take place of the second version?

    I would imagine both.

Agreed. While there has been no announcement of a new 'Droid" i would think. the updates will come as ell as a new model at some point. History says about a year or so. So stay tuned :)!

The cell phone biz is pretty fast paced as evidenced by Verizon's "New Every Two" program.

Is the Moto Droid going to still be Verizon's top dog in two years? Doubtful. If there's going to be an R2D2 depends on the public perception of the Droid 1.

There's no such thing as resting on your laurels in the communications biz. It's either lead, follow or get out of the way.

With the success of the DROID (v1.0?) I would assume a new one would be released when Verizon announces/releases their 4G LTE network.

    Just a guess though.
