Droid update

Alright, first off, I'm pretty new to rooting and whatnot. I've been doing some reading (have I ever) and have read that the new update messes with your preexisting root. I'm running 2.3.3.

Can anyone let me know the answer before I go and update my phone?!?--Which I still haven't gotten the update for. What exactly would it change if it does?..And how would I go about going around the update if it is infact a problem?!?

If you're just rooted you can update but you will lose root. If you deleted system apps or have clockwork installed then the update will fail.

You can reroot the phone after the update and gain it back using the one click root found here: PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.05.zip
