    Hi everyone,

Are there different methods to follow when rooting different Droid models?
I have a Droid X and am very familiar with how to root and deodex and such, but I was wondering if I could just use the same method to do it to my friend's Droid and someone else's Droid 2?

    Thanks, Abe21599!

Looks like it's very similar; just that D1 cannot be done using only the phone.
The procedure is basically the same though.

Now I feel more comfortable rooting my friend's D1 !

So I tried to root the D1 today
And I was able to get the # prompt
But when I tried to cp the files into /system/app/ and /system/bin/
I get "cp: Not found" error.
But when I use the same command for my Droid X, it works, anyone know why?
There must be something on the D1 blocking that command.
