have you formatted all the partitions (system, data, cache) before installing the new rom?

Wipe data and cache before installing. Chose it from your recovery then install your rom. See if that works. Hang in there we will help you out.

Get clockworkmod from the market free then purchace the full version. Use that app to flash your roms. You can download new ones or install from SD card.

You will have to do a rom install, by the nandroid method.

Well, thats what i thought too. Depending on from which rom you are comming, you have to do nandroid first. Atleast thats, what i had to do (comming from 2.0.1, changing to 2.1). You could also use the sbf 2.1 file and then go from there.
