Lighting has everything to do with quality here... the quality difference in the nightime/daytime is astounding

You are absolutely 100% correct. Even with the flash, indoor picture-quality is nowhere near what the outdoor bright-daylight quality is. The difference is staggering.

The bright outdoor pictures do look very good.:)

Mmmm Snow! I look forward to some real snow in Chicago. We didn't even get an inch.

Wow - that is an insane amount of snow. I'd like to expierience that one day. We got 7 inches in KS a couple weeks ago, and that was a lot for us at one time.

Hmm.. could be a settings issue? I think my pictures came out pretty good. I'm surprised how much I like the pics/video, they seem very nice.
