I have spent the last few hours trying to find some data recovery software that will work with the Droid Maxx with no luck. There are lots of important photos on there that are not backed up. Has anyone out there had any luck with recovering photos from this phone? I have it in airplane mode now and haven't messed with any memory. Seems that this issue with mass storage option is a pain in the butt.

I'll give you a little bump, but I've had no experience using data recovery software on any android phone.

Friendly reminder to ALWAYS backup your files, especially if you're into ROMing and MODing, but also if you keep the phone stock but find yourself in a position where you have to reset the phone.

Recovery of files depends upon the damage also..
if a file is too damaged.. it may not get recovered..
Android Data Recovery is a good application..
Maybe you can have a try.
