I am having a lot of trouble with this phone(I have a D1). Well I was downloading the Reckless Racing App and it was downloading to sd card, it was about 90% done. It wasn't fully downloading so I went to the home screen. I turned the phone off and back on and the "M" logo was to the left side of the screen, it stays there and turns off. I do have my phone rooted but I wasn't messing with any of that stuff when this happened. Just a simple reboot from a app problem.

During a big download like that it is best to just let the phone lay idle until it is done

I let it download for about 20-30 minutes and when nothing happened I was able to back out of the download to the home screen but once I shut down and booted up there was a problem. Is there anything I can do?

Yup. Since the download wasn't completing for the app I thought to turn it off and back on and try it again. But when I did that, the logo was messed up and it just turns off after about 2 minutes at the "M" logo.

[EDIT]: My phone just made the "Droid" notification sound and the green light is blinking but the screen is still off??

I would pull the battery and put it back in and then power-up

Pulled the battery out and put it back in. No Dice. I guess last resort is to bring it to the Verizon store, pretty sure i still have a warranty on it.

I didn't make a back up and I tried to boot to recovery but that didn't work. Apparently the phone sort of works, the green blinking light is on and the phone can vibrate when i touch it. It seems that the screen is the only thing that isn't working?

I am sure you are far from having to bring it to VZW - you can use RSD and flash the SBF back to 2.0.1 with Root and then flash a 2.2 ROM

I've been able to get as far as the "M" logo and no luck with trying the recovery. I am not even sure how to get to the bootloader.

There's a thread here in the labs section about using RSD Lite written by MotoCache1, I highly suggest using that one along with either the 2.0.1/ESD56 .sbf file that tp76 suggested, OR you could just use the 2.2/FRG22D .sbf that's about. And actually you can find both of those .sbf files in my collection linked below. Just realize that using a .sbf file and RSD Lite should be a last resort when you've tried numerous other ways to boot regular/into recovery. Why? Because RSD Lite can be a pain.

    good luck

Yes I know, Ive had to root two different droids with the RSD Lite method. Since there has been no change and the phone still isn't working correctly if I do do the RSD Lite method, will that delete all my apps and other things like that? Or can i get them back from Google sync?

I think the only thing I can do is go to VZW store. I cant boot into Recovery or the Bootloader. So I cant use the RSD Lite method or any other way for that fact.
