Droid Keeps on Wanting to Turn Off

Hey, my Droid keeps on showing the prompt for Airplane Mode, Silent Mode and Power off at random moments. More over, when its on the charger, it'll keep flashing the screen on and off for no reason at all. What could be the problem?

It seems to me that the power button is stuck. You'd have to go to Verizon and they'll offer you a free replacement if you're still under warranty.

Are you using a non Droid charger or usb cable? That is a known issue with the Droid.

Is there any way I could apply my own fix? I'm at college without a car, so driving to Verizon would be an obstacle.

I used a Blackberry charger for a few hours, since I couldn't find my Droid one. However, I'm using the Droid one now.
