Droid is dead from fall

    I my Droid took it's last fall (from breast pocket) today and was killed.

    Any advice would be appreciated on the following:

    -recovery of all my contacts (i only synched it once in the beginning (DEC09) and disabled this function since each export would duplicate/sometimes x3 my contacts. are any contacts saved/updated LIVE onto the SD card?

    -possible fix from Motorola? (vs. insurance replacement)? the verizon store could not see a possible repair since they are no longer allowed to open up phones.
