I'm new to the forums and wanted to ask what you guys think about the comparisons of the two. I keep hearing they are making a CDMA version of the iPhone. Will it have any downsides of having it on a CDMA network?

I currently have the Delve (absolutely hate it) and was looking at new phones and the Incredible caught my eye. Looks hella cool but stumbled on some info about the iPhone. Should I get the Incredible or wait and see what happens with the iPhone coming to Verizon?

If you're waiting for the iPhone for Verizon, you could be waiting awhile. This has been going on quite a bit.

As far as phones, I've got the Incredible coming in next week. You should have good reviews from members on here by then. I think the Android platform is starting to get to the point that the iPhone may need to start worrying some.

As for AT&T, 4G or not, I personally don't like their coverage. Had all kinds of problems with it in my area for my work phone. Your experiences may vary.

Does this question REALLY have to be asked? The only thing the iPhone has more of is Apps in the market and that gap is closing fairly quickly. As far as hardware and OS Android and the devices it runs on will always be more feature rich, available across all carriers and come in whatever form factor you damn well please. The answer is quite clear. Android. Whether it be an Incredible, Droid, EVO 4G, Galaxy S, etc...

Sorry I'm just new to this whole Android thing. So what does the Incredible do that the iPhone can't and what can the iPhone do that the Incredible can't?

I understand that the Android is the OS but what is this sense stuff?

Most of us prefer Android so obviously we're going to suggest an Android phone.

My recommendation is to buy a Droid, a Nexus One, or a Droid Incredible. I think that the Ipod Touch is an amazing multimedia device but I dislike the Iphone.

Well aside from both being phones. Android devices can multi-task although the iPhone with OS4 will have some semblance of multi-tasking when it is released. Android has in my opinion has greater flexibility as an OS. The devices that Android runs on will always be on the cutting edge due to the constant evolution of technology where Apple is essentially a one trick pony once a year. The Android Market while not as big as Apple's app store is again in my opinion superior because Google is very liberal in its' policies. This pretty much allows all sorts of apps that you will NEVER see in the Apple App Store, EVER. Lastly and generally speaking depending on the device and how techno savvy you are most Android devices can be rooted. This allows the installation of custom ROMs (custom builds of the UI and features), custom kernels (the actual operating system) that allows for tethering and overclocking, etc... Hope that helps.

Go with the Incredible. It receives updates way more than once a year. If you want a physical keyboard go with the Motorola Droid. If you want a faster more upgraded phone without the slide out keyboard go with the Incredible.

I personally like the iPhone as well but it is on AT&T which has crappy service. Their 4G network will probably still not be as good as Verizon's 3G network. When Verizon launches their 4G network WATCH OUT!!!! Sure the iPhone has more apps but if thats what you care most about you can get an iPod Touch and connect to wifi then you can play with apps and such.

iphone os looks sloppy on the desktop.. no app drawer.. the new os4 looks better but still, its messy imo...

i dont wanna filter thru every app to get to the one app i need..

you can orangize your home screens much cleaner on android..

one screen for games and music and media.. one for tools, one for phone and messaging etc.. the rest of the fun apps in the drawer where they belong out of your way.. iphone, everything is out there and non organized.. no widgets..

i saw on endgadget someone is running android on the iphone already.. probly cuz the guy got sick if scrolling thru pages of apps everyday ;)

incredible for the win.

Have to add my two cents to this. Things that the droid/incrediable/android phones do out the box that should be common sence dont happen on the iphone. For instance on my iphone why cant i have wifi and bluetooth on off functions on the damn home screen why do i have to dig deep deep into the settings for a simple task like that? If i jail break then i can do it on the iphone but android does it out the box.

Why do i need stinking itunes to automatically update my podcast!?!? With the droid there are apps that do it autmaticlly.

Why do i have to plug my phone into itunes to update the OS? What if im at work or on a trip and dont have my pc? With the droid i can download a rom from the web and update via memory card.

Why cant i take a picture in a pitch black room, or low lit room? Led flash is a mircle.

Why cant i decide to have a phone with a keyboard...with android you get your pick of several devices...not the cookie cutter that apple sticks you with.

Why cant i just drag and drop files to my phone? With the droid i can put whatever i want on my memory card for my phone.

Why cant i have free voice navigation? As far as i know you have to pay for the navigation apps to talk to you.

Why cant i use google voice to get free sms and phone calls. With android add google voice number to your in calling and you are all set not to mention the sms messages that now autmaticlly sync.

and finally why cant i have porn on my damn phone? dont need some self rightous geek telling me he still owns some **** i paid 300 bucks for!!!

Pros for teh iphone...Its an apple product. Not a pro for me because but some people will buy anything Steve Jobs makes, and they still beleive Macs are virus proof. Holla.
