Moto's product kills HTC's so maybe VZW is cutting it loose. Who knows..... :icon_eek:

Maybe VZW is sick of dealing with angry customers who can't buy an advertised phone... and since HTC's production is way behind demand.... could be.

also, even if it's scheduled to "phase out", it doesn't show a date. the date could be 2-3 months from now

Why I find this information incredible. :D

So that probably explains why they stopped showing Incredible commercials on tv. They are behind are their shipments now.

Personally I'm not surprised. With the availability issues it only makes sense to retire the handset. It's sad to see it go so soon, had HTC been able to keep up with the manufacturing then my guess is that this wouldn't have happened. Not to mention I am sure that VZW is sick and tired of getting the "Where is my Incredible" phone calls and emails.

Plus the fact they have to be getting calls about folks canceling orders trying to get the Droid X.

June 23rd it will probably make more sense no pun intended.

Maybe they are leaving the Motorola devices as their official Droid line-up.

Phase out HTC....

looks like a marketing move.

Rip the Droid Incredible name from it and simply name it the HTC Incredible.

LTE aka 4G

Verizon will flip the switch for LTE by Q3 2010. dancedroid The CDMA smartphone devices will be the first series of devices that will not receive new development.*
For example, Verizon dropped ALL Noikia CDMA devices from their line-up for 2010-2011 and Nok had three CDMA devices submitted for approval in 2009. VZ will not be dedicating resources to CDMA, except in the 'Simple Feature' devices.

*Have you noticed that VZ started releasing new 'Droid devices within two to three months of each other, rather than annually or semi-annually? They're clearing the dist channel asap.
