Droid Includes FM Receiver and Transmitter

    I saw this in another forum. I am not sure how accurate this is, but would be nice if someone could get this working.

    I agree, That would make the phone better yet if someone could get it working, and since it has been rooted it should be possible.

    I'd love to have this be able to transmit audio over FM or even receive live FM radio!

    Would never happen FCC would have a sh!tfit I use a big radio in my truck and its technicallt against the law to broadcast on FM band without a license even though flick of a switch Im on FM band or any other frequency I choose .....being as there are more droids out there in wild it would never go over we cb'ers van get away with it as its not like every one carries one around

    I'd love to have this just so I could listen to local FM radio stations. Can anyone verify that this information is accurate?

    Well, someone is bound to take their phone apart soon. Guess we'll know then. hahahahahahah.

    FM Walkie Talkies wouldn't be a problem if they didn't know about it. But it isn't really a feasible concept since anyone could tap in.

    Guys, WiFi signals are digitally modulated FM. So your Droid is transmitting on FM.

    Actually, plenty of companies make FM transmitters. I have one for my Zune, my roommate has one for his iPod. (example: Zune FM Transmitters, Radio FM Transmitter for Zune ) Nothing illegal about it.
