Droid frozen

Downloaded a bunch of mp3's from Amazon and it was working good. Then one song got screwed up and it said not working or responding,when I try to reset it doesnt respond I pres the power button and the screen shuts off but wont power off. What is my option ,let it drain and recharge and hope it resets?

and to fully power off the device you need to hold down the power button til a little menu pops up, just for future reference.

I was holding down the button for awhile and nothing happens. How do I pull the battery? Will it delete my contacts?

pull the battery means take out the battery. you won't lose any contacts, it's basically forcing a reset.

think of it like unplugging your computer's power cord while it's still on.

Had it since July 2011. Now the screen goes blank and buttons don't respond when I hit visual voice mail.
