Droid freaking out all of a sudden

As of an hour ago. It was working fine, now I have done multiple reboots. Sometimes none of the icons work, sometimes screen gets stuck on all black, and the phone will not make outgoing calls . . . mostly. It tried calling a number about 5 minutes after I had shut it down - when I went to check it; it was making the call to Verizon to activate the phone? I have closed all apps; any ideas?

Have you installed some apps recently? If so, try uninstalling them and see what happens....

Thanks for the reply. Only app I downloaded today was tricorder and I uninstalled it.

Do you have Open Home? I had the same problems. Uninstalled and now the Droid is fine.

I've had the same issue with and without open home. I'm not sure what causes the issue but you lost all connectivity, pretty much none of your apps work and the phone in general is slow.

Only fix I've seen, is a reload or you can wait it out and the phone will do like you said and dial *228 to update your settings.
