Hi i just wanted to share with everyone that i found a fix for the cracking audio while playing music on pandora or podcast. At least this worked for me.
All you have to do is uninstall any volume management application that you have. I had two on my Droid and after i took the widget based on off the crackling stopped at any volume even max. It's crystal clear now as i'm listening to it. The main culprit for me was AudioManager widget.
Anyways I understand this may not work for everyone, but it worked for me just fine.
