I have a Droid Razr Maxx with a 16mb external SD Card. My phone and SD card are full. I have moved data over to my ext_SD card but my applications do not find the data on the ext_SD card (such as podcasts, audio files -not music files- these are audio files).

How can I get the Droid applications to see the data on the ext_hdd?

Can you see those files using a file manager? If so, it may be a problem with the specific apps that you are using not being able to automatically find the data on the SD card. Do you have an app that can see the music okay?

Yes, I can see the files using the file manager. It is the applications that do not automatically see the data on the ext_SD card. Are applications supposed to automatically see this data on the ext_data card?

The music is seen by music players but my audio files (lectures) are not. Is there a free audio player that will pick up on those files?

You may want to install JetAudio and it will index what it can play even if it's on external memory.

    Thank you.

What about my other applications and data that are hogging space on my SD card? How can I make them functional on the ext_hd card?

The applications are probably not going to the SD card but most of the data should be able to be moved. Again, it depends on if the app can see the data you are using. Some apps, in their own settings have an option for where to either store, or look for the data. It's worth checking out.

If you can specifiy the type of data someone can help ID an app that will see it OK.
