    Hi Everyone,

I heard that the camera for the droid is not that impressive, its probably better than my S1 camera, however, are any of the ROMs out there addressing the camera issues, or already addressed them.

Trying to make a decision on upgrading to a Droid, and hoping that the CAM has been improved thanks to the amazing ROM creators out there :)

I've gone through every ROM for the Droid under the moon. Not one has stated that they affect the camera like your talking about.

There are some roms that increase the video quality, but none that I have seen that improve low light photos.

Oh yea, I had forgot about that since most of the ROM's include that now anyways, woops :p But yea low light is not a strong point for the droids camera.

Yeah I believe that the high quality video recording is the only modification performed in that area of the phone...not the actual camera part

literally not one single rom for the droid has anything in it to help with low light settings on the camera.

this is a phone, if you want low light pictures use the flash and hope for the best or buy a real digital camera.

dude what are you talking about? 5MP, this cam rocks for a phone cam, if u want nice pics buy a cybershot by sony, but i swear if u line up ANY phone on market right now, the droid will take best pic if held still(needs image stableization) but as i said, its a phone not a cam, but i love the pics taken from it

Eah eah, wrong answer. My voyager took some better pictures than my droid does.....how is that possible. The camera's software needs to be drasticly changed. The hardware can produce some awesome pictures. But if the software can't do its job the awesome 5mp is useless.

There are some apps in the market to improve the camera. The one I like best is Pro Zoom 5X Camera. Another one that is talked about, but I have not tried, is Vignette.

    Good luck.
