Droid Bionic third party video apps problem - scrambled green video

Third party video apps are recording scrambled video with random shapes of green bars.

DailyRoads Voyager will scramble the first video, but consecutive auto-recorded video segments play fine.

I have system version 5.9.905xt875
android version 2.3.4

What other info would help?
