Anyone else ever have this problem? When I'm recharging my phone, everything seems to slow down and also not work exactly right. Why is this and is it common?

Do you have a profile in setCPU that slows you down?

If your using an after market charger not made by Motorola then that's your answer.

I'm not rooted and yes, I am using an aftermarket charger. Why would that cause any problems? Are all chargers not created equally?

Does it happen when you use the charger that came with your phone?

Not sure, I'll test it out when I get home. Will using a non-oem charger hurt my phone in any way?

Proper amperage and voltage is very important in these devices.

Always use the OEM charger. There have been widespread reports of Droids acting strange when using no OEM chargers. I don't think it can permanently hurt your droid, but why not use the OEM if you have it.

I was looking for a second charger to keep at work on Amazon. All the ones for the the Droid X that aren't the OEM one have reviews from people saying their Droids freaked out when using them.
