droid 4 replace earpiece?

I traded phones and got a blown earpiece speaker? Can it be replaced? A local shop told me this model has it soldered in and cant be replaced

a lot of people have the same problem. you will just have to have the whole phone replaced

Do the speakers get worse over time or stay the same

I had a refurbished D4 for a short time and had speaker and earpiece issues. I read they get worse to the point you can't hear anymore from the earpiece. I went back to the Bionic.
