Benchmark it, Ill bet money your in 'limp' mode. I use SetCPU, it has a few benchmarks built in, at 1400, the Long Bench comes back at ~160 ms. If I up frequency to 1500, the score plummets to ~600 ms. Been able to set frequency as high as 1600, but the score stays down in that 600 range.

It may be trying to set the CPU to 2000Mhz, but its not succeeding, regardless what it says.

Ummm, then your in limp mode. Run the same bench at 1200Mhz, it will be faster.

Yeah ur right anything after 1450 u have to be in performance mode or the phone become inoperable. An the long bench becomes 500ms or. more

Yea, my guess is a majority of phones will top out between 1350-1450, with a few 'golden chips' that will do 1500.
