Droid 4 Device driver fail

I have a Droid 4 with issues. Please help! I plugged in my usb to my computer and when it attempted to install the various drivers one did came up with an error. MTP USB Device Failed
Now the computer does not recognize the device and I cant access the phone to add music and old ringtones

With it connected still, reboot the phone. This is normal. Or try and install the driver helper. Should be the same
