With my old WM phone, whenever there is a 10 digit number (especially if it's in the ###-###-####), the phone makes it a hyperlink. When you click the hyperlink, the phone directs you to the dialer and puts the number in the dialer. It was really convenient to call a number written in an email, text or task.

My Droid 4 doesn't seem to do this. Is there an option that you can switch on to have Droid 4 recognize phone numbers?

It doesn't make the number a hyperlink, but you should be able to long-press the number to get it to open up in the dialer.
