Droid 3 Notification bar

I have a voice mail indicator in the top left of my notification bar even though I don't have anything in my voice mail box.
I have tried rebooting, waiting until I have more than 3-4 messages before deleting the VM.
Nothing seems to be able to clear this notification.

Any ideas on how to clear this?

Might try toggling notifications on and off as described here:
