I updated my phone last week, and everything is fine except when I want to connect to the computer to sync music. I can plug my phone into my computer and it will charge, but the normal notification that lets me select 'USB mass storage' or 'Windows Media sync' doesn't appear. Also, my computer gets a brief popup message that says "There may be a problem with your device" which immediately goes away.

I'm fairly sure it's a Droid SW problem because it happened right after last week's update. Any help?

(Note: I downloaded the latest driver from the Motorola website and restarted both phone and computer multiple times, no dice.)

Are you using the cable that came with the phone? If not, try it out.

I was using the cable that came with it, but I tried a new one and it works now. I guess it was just a problem with the original cable. Problem solved, thanks!

You're welcome. That's weird, though. I've always heard of non-OEM cables causing the problem. Oh well, at least you fixed it!
