Droid 2 update bringing "profiles" and more...

It looks like the Droid 2 (and possibly some others down the road) might be getting a case of 'split personalities' soon. What does that mean? Well, imagine that you use your phone both at home and at work. Well, you might need to concentrate on email while at work -- but at home, you might be interested in a more 'hobby' oriented layout. A new update for the Droid 2 is aiming to provide just that ability. It would be similar to the profile switch that comes with HTC's Sense UI.

The other feature in the update should be USB Tethering. So those of you who aren't really hacked and want to keep the stock OS, should finally have a bit of help in using your phone as an internet source.

Can't find anything in reference to this on MDW. I've seen info on the X's 2.2.1, but not the D2. Do they have this leaked rom?

Looks pretty cool to me. Set up different profiles to match what you are doing. Work or play.
