Running ChevyNo1's rom with the Droid 2 keyboard.
I am theming the keyboard and have all PNG's altered to my liking.
However, I cannot figure out how to change the font color of the keyboard.
I would guess to use HxD on a .xml file but which one and what line to edit????
Screenshot shows black font (000000) but I'm looking to use white (FFFFFF)
    Any help?

Get apk manager and decompile the .apk. Then in /res/values/colors.xml changed the code for keyboard text. Also you may want to look in /res/layout/input.xml. It has a keyboard text color code in there as well. Now if you want to change the key preview text that is in /res/layout/key_preview.xml

I did this with apk manager, decompiled, then compiled after changes made and now when switching to numbers on the keybard, the "&" key now displays, "&" . I tried to just decompile and compile without any changes, and it still gives same error. Any way to fix this?

I have the fixes at home in a zip file. I'll post them when I get a chance.

apktool will change & to &amp and \ to &lt

the way around this is to not use apktool, simply use apktool to decompile the xmls so you know what to look for and use a hex editor on the binary xml's

maybe apk manager is using a different method than apktool, I always thought they were the same, using apktool 1.3.1 the results are the same on every keyboard I try...

I find it more reliable to hex stuff anyway these days. I just decompile for reference purposes

    I might check out apkmanager

edit: its the same.. the problem is how it decompiled, what thebowers has done is fixed what apktool/manager screwed up :)
