Droid 2 hacking/rom install class

    Basically I have no problem. I want to learn how to sbf though. I would like a link to the software and how to do it, and a link to a sbf I would needd.

    Just wanted to say a quick thank you to the OP for this thread. I have to send my GF's Droid2 back to Verizon due to a faulty camera and the RSDLite / SBF guide worked flawlessly.

    Ok fellows in a new here and also new to the hacking so I was wondering which way do u guys recommend to go about hacking my d2 global.. no I'm not the greatest person with these gadgets but I wanna give it a shot or a link any help would be appreciated..

    z4root to root it, the D2G SBF if anything screws up. Do NOT try to flash a D2 ROM onto a D2G as it will brick it. :)

    You don't install the SBF, you just need to have it in case things go VERY badly wrong. z4root is available here:

    It's free, just need to sign up for an account.

    You don't have a file manager installed. Install Astro from the market, then enable installation from unknown sources in Settings> Applications> Unknown Sources.

    I still keep getting "cannot d/l content is not supported on this phone"..I had astro and unknown sources since I got it..

    Sideload it? Download it on a computer and then put it on your SD card, then install from inside Astro.

    Also, do you have an XDA account? If not it won't download anyway.

    Helpppppppppppp!

    I just installed z4root and my phone is stuck on the z4root screen. it don't turn off or nothing,clock ain't running damnnnnn what did i do! but i guess that's how you learn when you play with these things lol.. someone some help i appreciate it:blink::cus:

    If it says something about running the exploit, pull the battery and reboot. Run z4 root again and you should be fine.
