so ive had this phone just a little over a year and all of a sudden the touchscreen doesnt work anymore. i went to verizon and they referred me to a phone claim place and im wondering if its worth the 100 dollars to replace it. ive done the factory reset without the touchscreen hoping it might clear out a bug or whatever was stopping it from working. ive also seen a few touchscreens you can buy for anywhere from 15 to 40 dollars. are they worth it? will they work? any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am boring in paying a big sum of money in replacing one of the hundred of components. one cell phone screen protector maybe cost me $2 or even more, but it may just worthy 20cents with labor force included.
