So I've looked around the forum and have yet to find anything other than other people with a similar problem, but no answers.

I have a rooted droid2 on which i installed the latest Fission ROM. Using The Fission ROM manager, i checked the option to create a backup. I have bootstrapper but i forgot to check the option to have it selected. After attempting to install the ThirdEye Black theme, everything seemed fine until it froze on the google account sign in. I pulled the battery, and now I am stuck on the Motorola Logo and can go no further

I tried getting back to recovery, but its on the stock recovery instead of the clockwork recovery so i cant get my restore image files. Using the stock recovery, I tried wiping the data and cache partitions, but nothing has changed.

i get a message on the stock recovery screen:
    "E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command"

puhhhleeeaaase help me out as soon as you can. im dying here.

Time to SBF. You can then re-root and reload whatever you want so you can restore that backup and start over. You'll have lost nothing but the time.

Ugh. Okay, let me see if I can dig up the direct link.

What bootloader do you have, what version of Blur (system version) did you get stuck with?

    No, I mean bootloader. :)

That's what you'll have to be in to SBF the phone. Pull the battery, wait 30 seconds, pop the battery back in, slide out the keyboard, press and hold the up arrow, press the power button, and when the screen comes on and shows the bootloader you can release the up arrow.

Pretty much. You don't need to "catch the boot" since the D2 will do it for you, but otherwise the methodology is identical. When you get the PASS you reboot the phone and go from there. It'll be out-of-the-box stock, but just re-root it and flash clockwork/bootstrapper, restore your backup from immediately prior to flashing the ROM and you'll be right back to where you were with no lost data except what you accrued after you flashed the ROM. :)
