I've been through what feels like a million forum threads trying to fix my issue but I can't seem to find any that help.

My droid had the Gingerbread update on it, and I was trying to install a custom Rom over top of that. Easy enough, I've done it before. Problem is something went wrong somewhere and now I am continually going through the boot screen. All I get to see is a big white M over and over.

I can get to this:

By pressing and holding the power button and x. But that's all I can get to. I have wiped the cache partition and the data/factory reset and I've tried installing an update via .zip and I always get the response of E signature verification failed, and the Installation is aborted.

I cant get to any other menu, I was reading forums and I was told there was another menu you can get to if you press the search button, I have no luck getting to that.

Any advice? I really would hate to have to just toss my phone. I'm using my old blackberry at the moment, and it's horrible :/

No. I installed the Gingerbread from XDA developers.
